Tekron Services Inc. has been providing specialized nondestructive testing and monitoring techniques since our founding in 1987. Since that year, Tekron has been involved in major projects involving a number of advances testing techniques. Listed below are a summary of some of these projects Projects :Investigation of the extent of deterioration of bridge piers of a Ministry of Transport bridge using impact-echo Investigation of voids on spillway slab using ground penetrating radar on behalf of Sask Water, Saskatchewan impact-echo tests on Union Station soffit on behalf of Cole Sherman and TTC Monitoring of crack movement on Old Mill Station bridge on behalf of McCormick Rankin and TTC Monitoring and investigation of honeycombed pier at Sheppard Line on behalf of TTC Investigation of cracking in Bayer Chemicals Hydrogen Compressor foundations using impact-echo. Investigation of Mt. Alison University stone masonry buildings using Ground Penetrating Radar Investigation of Bayer Chemicals warehouse floor slab, Connecticut using Ground Penetrating Radar Investigation and repair monitoring of Maple Reservoir, a failed water reservoir in Ontario, using leak testing, impact-echo and computer monitoring techniques. Investigation of deterioration of Las Vegas bridge deck viaduct on behalf of Nevada Dept. of Transportation. Investigation and repair monitoring of The Ellis Reservoir, a failed water reservoir in Ontario, using leak testing, impact echo Impact-echo evaluation of cracked water retaining walls of a major pumping station on behalf of the Ontario Clean Water Agency. Impact-echo evaluation of selected sections of the Winnipeg water aqueduct, a concrete structure approximately 100 miles long. Research on the use of impact-echo technology to detect defects inside historical masonry walls including examination of the Peace Tower of the Houses of Parliament, Ottawa on behalf of Public Works Canada. Impact-echo evaluation of structures damaged by earthquake, including assessment of epoxy injection repairs in Northridge, California (1994). Detailed bridge condition surveys on behalf of Metropolitan Toronto Transportation Department including research on impact-echo techniques to detect delamination below asphalt covered decks. Investigation of sections of a 15 km tunnel and ventilation system at Rogers Pass, BC on behalf of CP Rail using impact-echo techniques. Investigation and monitoring of the rapid failure of 50 concrete water tanks in Ontario. |
